Dr. Adria Young

Dr. Adria Young is a licensed optometric physician and a certified Florida Gator.

Dr. Adria Young is a native of North Central Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.

Dr. Young further completed residency training at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, which provided her the opportunity to advance her expertise in managing and treating advanced eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and glaucoma. During her residency, she honed her skills in diagnosing and managing complex cases of eye diseases.

In addition to her advanced training in eye disease management, Dr. Young is skilled in specialty eye exams, including low vision, which involves prescribing glasses for partial blindness, neurological vision complications, prism, and the management of eyes post-surgery. She is an expert in refraction and prescribing glasses for high prescriptions, as well as multifocal and astigmatism contact lenses.

Dr. Young’s passion for helping patients with vision challenges is evident in her work. In her free time, she volunteers with community organizations such as the Special Olympics and the Walk for Autism, offering her professional expertise to conduct eye screenings for those in need. Through her work with these organizations, she has further gained invaluable opportunities to managing a diverse range of vision challenges.
